StealthWing 4K Drone vs Potensic Atom SE: $99 Learner Drone or $250 GPS Drone? (2026)

The StealthWing 4K costs $99 and is built for first flights; the Potensic Atom SE costs about $250 and publishes GPS, a 31-minute battery and 4K video. We compare price, camera, flight time, return to home and refund terms from each seller's own pages, and say plainly where the Potensic is the better buy.
StealthWing 4K drone vs Potensic Atom SE comes down to what you want from your first drone: the StealthWing is a $99 foldable learner drone that records HD video and costs little to crash, while the Potensic Atom SE is a roughly $250 sub-249-gram drone with GPS, a stated 31-minute flight time and real 4K video. One is a toy-class way to find out whether you enjoy flying; the other is a proper entry-level camera drone.
We compared the two using each seller's own pages: the StealthWing checkout, product page and terms, and Potensic's store listing and refund policy. Our StealthWing Drone review has the full verdict on the StealthWing, and our guide to whether the StealthWing 4K drone is legit covers its checkout fine print.
StealthWing vs Potensic Atom SE at a glance
Price: one StealthWing was $99 plus $7.95 shipping when we checked, with three for $197 and five for $297 shipped free. Potensic's own store listed the Atom SE at $249.99, down from $289.99, with dual and triple battery kits as the options, and free shipping on orders over $59.
Camera: the StealthWing's checkout says "4k Camera with 1080p Output", so expect HD clips. Potensic lists a 12 MP camera that records 4K at 4608×2592 at up to 30 frames per second, with a single-axis gimbal plus electronic image stabilization (EIS) and a 118-degree field of view.
Flight and control: the StealthWing lists a 500mAh battery, one-key return, a 3D flip mode and a WiFi phone link. The Atom SE lists 31 minutes per battery, GPS, a dedicated Return to Home button, up to 4 km control range with 720p live video, and wind resistance up to Level 5 (38 km/h).
Refunds: the StealthWing offers 30 days from your order; Potensic offers 30 days from delivery. Both put return shipping on you if you simply change your mind.
Price: where the StealthWing wins clearly
The StealthWing costs about $107 delivered for one drone, against $249.99 for an Atom SE. That gap is the whole case for the StealthWing. A first-time pilot will clip a branch or land hard at some point, and doing that with a $99 drone hurts a lot less than with a $250 one.
Multi-packs widen the gap. At $59.40 each in the five-pack, the StealthWing is a realistic option for a family with several kids or a group that wants to fly together, which is not something you would do with five Atom SEs. If you are buying a gift and have no idea whether the person will enjoy flying, the cheaper drone is the sensible test.
Watch the StealthWing checkout, though. When we looked, $6.65-per-unit protection and a $14.95-a-month Premier membership (after a 30-day trial) were both pre-ticked. Untick the membership unless you want it.
Camera and video: where the Potensic Atom SE wins
If the footage matters, the Atom SE is in a different class. Potensic publishes the exact video modes: 4K at 24, 25 or 30fps, 2.7K at the same rates, and 1080p at up to 60fps, with a stabilized camera. The StealthWing's checkout is honest that its camera outputs 1080p, and the brand's product page talks about HD photos and video and "advanced stabilization technology" without saying what kind.
In practice, the StealthWing is fine for social clips of the backyard or the beach on a calm day. The Atom SE is the one to pick if you want footage you can crop, put on a big screen or use for a family video you will keep. Neither has a three-axis mechanical gimbal; Potensic's own comparison table lists the Atom SE as single-axis with EIS and reserves a three-axis gimbal for its pricier Atom.
Flight time, GPS and return to home
This is the biggest practical difference after price. The Atom SE lists GPS, GPS tracking, circle flight and waypoint flight, a downward vision system for steady hovering at 0.3 to 5 metres, and a Return to Home button that flies it back to the take-off point. For a beginner flying outdoors, GPS position hold is what keeps a drone from wandering off with the wind.
The StealthWing's pages disagree with each other here. The older product page says its one-key home return goes back to "the GPS location it captured upon takeoff" and quotes up to 35 minutes of flight; the checkout lists a 500mAh battery and does not mention GPS. Our review treats it as a drone to fly close by in calm conditions, and some of the customer comments on the StealthWing checkout say the same: steady with altitude hold, but blown around a little in wind.
On flight time, Potensic's 31 minutes is a published spec for a sub-249-gram drone. We would plan for much shorter flights on the StealthWing and consider spare batteries if the seller offers them.
Weight, registration and rules
Potensic says the Atom SE weighs under 249 grams. In the US, recreational pilots must pass the free FAA TRUST test, and drones of 250 grams or more must be registered, so the Atom SE's weight keeps it under that registration line.
The StealthWing pages call it "Foldable & Light" but do not publish a weight. Check the box or the manual before your first outdoor flight. Whichever you buy, fly in open spaces away from people, roads and airports, and keep the drone in sight.
Refund policies compared: StealthWing and Potensic
StealthWing: the terms allow a refund up to 30 days after your order is completed. You contact support with your name and account details first, return the unused drone to a San Diego returns center at your own cost, and a restocking fee may apply. Refunds can take up to two weeks to post. Standard shipping is listed at 14 to 21 working days, so a slow delivery eats into your window.
Potensic: the refund policy offers a 30-day money-back guarantee for any reason, counted from delivery. The item must be undamaged, unused, in its original packaging with all accessories and proof of purchase, and you email info@potensic.com before sending anything. For a change of mind, you pay return shipping, Potensic refunds only the product cost, delivery charges are not refunded and a processing fee may apply. Approved refunds go back in 3 to 5 business days after inspection.
On paper, Potensic's terms are clearer because the clock starts at delivery and the conditions are listed in full. The StealthWing's terms are shorter and leave the restocking fee unstated.
Don't confuse the StealthWing with the Stealth Bird 4K
Search results blend the StealthWing with similarly named ad-sold drones such as the Stealth Bird 4K and the StealthHawk Pro. They are different products sold from different websites, and nothing on the StealthWing's pages links them. A widely shared warning about the Stealth Bird 4K does not mention the StealthWing, so do not apply it here, and do not take Stealth Bird specs as StealthWing specs either.
If you are also weighing other $99 foldables, the SkyHawk 4K follows the same pattern; our SkyHawk 4K drone alternatives guide compares it with the Atom SE and the DJI Mini 4K.
Which should you buy: StealthWing or Potensic Atom SE?
Buy the StealthWing 4K if you want the cheapest way to find out whether you enjoy flying, you are buying for a teen or a family, or you want several drones at once. Untick the membership, keep the packaging and test it as soon as it arrives. Our StealthWing Drone review explains what to expect from a $99 drone.
Buy the Potensic Atom SE if you already know you want to fly outdoors regularly and care about the footage. GPS, return to home, a published 31-minute battery and real 4K video are worth the extra $150 for that buyer, and its refund window starts on delivery.

Is the StealthWing 4K drone better than the Potensic Atom SE?
It is much cheaper, at $99 plus shipping against $249.99, and cheaper still in multi-packs. The Atom SE has published GPS, a 31-minute battery, a 4 km range and true 4K video, so it is the better camera drone.
Does the StealthWing have GPS like the Atom SE?
The StealthWing's product page says its home return uses the GPS position from take-off, but the checkout page does not mention GPS. Potensic lists GPS, GPS tracking and a Return to Home button for the Atom SE.
Which has the longer flight time, StealthWing or Potensic Atom SE?
Potensic lists 31 minutes for the Atom SE. The StealthWing's product page claims up to 35 minutes, but the checkout lists a 500mAh battery, so we would expect much shorter flights.
Does the StealthWing shoot real 4K video?
No. Its checkout says "4k Camera with 1080p Output", so expect HD clips. The Atom SE records 4K at up to 30fps, per Potensic.
Do I need to register the StealthWing or the Atom SE with the FAA?
Recreational pilots must pass the free TRUST test, and drones of 250 g or more must be registered. Potensic says the Atom SE is under 249 g; the StealthWing's weight is not published, so check the manual.
Is the StealthWing the same as the Stealth Bird 4K?
No. They are different products sold from different websites. Reviews and warnings about the Stealth Bird 4K do not apply to the StealthWing.
