Is the Terra Grounding Sheet Legit? The Grounding Co Reviews, Price, the 90-Night Guarantee and Complaints (2026)

What the Terra grounding sheet is

Terra is a fitted bed sheet woven with conductive silver thread. The product page lists the fabric as 95% organic premium cotton and 5% conductive silver. A connecting cord runs from a port on the sheet to the ground port of a grounded wall outlet, the round hole that the brand describes as non-electrical. International buyers get a plug adapter. The idea, called grounding or earthing, is that lying on the sheet with bare skin connects you to the Earth's natural charge, as walking barefoot outside would.

It comes in Ivory Gray, White and Warm Olive, in seven fitted sizes from Single (35 x 75 inches) to California King (72 x 84 inches). Fitted depth is 10 inches for Single, Twin and Twin XL and 12 inches for Full and larger. Care is simple: machine wash warm and tumble dry on low, and avoid bleach, oils and fabric softener, which can damage the silver thread.

How much does the Terra grounding sheet cost?

The single-sheet prices on The Grounding Co's store when we checked were $99.95 for a Single, $139.95 for a Twin or Twin XL, $149.95 for a Full, $159.95 for a Queen and $169.95 for a King or California King. The crossed-out prices beside them, from $249.90 to $424.90, are reference figures, not what people pay.

A "Last Day Extended Halloween Sale" was running when we looked, with Buy 1 Get 1 Free and Buy 2 Get 1 Free plus a free Terra Grounding Mat (listed as a $69.95 value). The bundle figures shown on the page, $99.95 for two sheets and $199.90 for three plus the mat, match the Single-size price, so larger sizes cost more. Check your cart total for your actual size before paying.

Shipping is free on orders over $100. The brand says orders process in one business day and reach the US and Canada in 4 to 7 business days, and that it ships from the US. Buying through our link doesn't change your price.

The Terra 90-night guarantee, read closely

The refund policy gives every order a 90-night satisfaction guarantee counted from the day it is delivered, or from the day the last parcel arrives if the order ships in pieces. The catch is a minimum trial: the policy asks you to use the products for at least 30 nights before you request a refund under the guarantee. After night 30 and before day 90, you can email admin@thegrounding.co with your order number and a short note. The brand says it replies within 12 hours and may ask for a photo.

If a return is needed, the brand sends the address. It says it refunds 30% once it has reviewed your photos and the remaining 70% once the parcel arrives and is checked. Original shipping charges are not refunded, return shipping on a change-of-mind return is paid by you, and returns sent without confirmation or to another address cannot be processed.

Two other rules matter during a sale. Free promotional items, such as the bonus mat, must come back with the bundle, or their retail price is deducted from your refund. And outside the guarantee, an unused order you simply no longer want can be sent back at your cost with a restocking fee deducted; the policy says that fee never applies to a refund under the 90-night guarantee.

Orders can be cancelled in full within 12 hours. Damaged or faulty items are replaced free with no return needed, and a wrong item is replaced with a prepaid return label.

What the brand claims, and what the research supports

The Terra product page makes broad wellness claims. It lists faster sleep, fewer wake-ups and deeper rest, and its science section talks about inflammation, energy, circulation and stress. The sleep figure it quotes, 11 of 12 people falling asleep faster over eight weeks, comes from a pilot study with 12 people, and the page carries a "Doctor Recommended" badge without naming a doctor.

The brand's own disclaimer is more careful than its sales copy. It says the products support overall wellness, that individual responses vary, that they are meant to assist well-being rather than to diagnose medical conditions, and that people with pacemakers or other medical implants should consult their practitioner before buying. That is the fair way to read Terra: a comfortable cotton sheet you can try for its feel and for your own sense of whether it supports better rest, not a medical product.

The research on grounding is still made up of small studies. Our Terra grounding sheet review explains what they found and why we treat any sleep benefit as something to test during the 90 nights.

The Grounding Co reviews and complaints

The Grounding Co's Trustpilot profile showed a TrustScore of 4.3 from 3,549 reviews when we checked, with 68% five-star and 17% one-star. The profile is claimed by the company and lists a PO Box in Alameda, California. The product page itself shows 4.7/5 and "200,000+ happy customers".

The negative reviews are worth reading before you buy, because they are consistent. Reviewers describe slow or partial refunds, emails that went unanswered, orders that took weeks to arrive, missing accessories such as a tester pen, and upsells that did not match what they expected at checkout; one reviewer reported a recurring monthly charge they had not expected. Positive reviewers mostly talk about sleep and comfort.

None of this means the sheet is a scam. It means you should read your cart before paying, keep your order confirmation and delivery date, use the sheet nightly so you can claim within the guarantee if you want to, and put your request in writing with photos.

Terra vs Earthing, grounding.co and other look-alikes

Several grounding brands use similar names, and search results mix them up. Terra is sold by The Grounding Co at thegrounding.co. Earthing, at earthing.com, is a different company: its site credits the copyright to EarthFX, Inc. and sells its own mats, mattress covers and pillow covers, built on the grounding principles of Clint Ober. Reviews and prices for Earthing products do not apply to Terra.

There is also a separate site at grounding.co, without "the", which sells grounding sheets, mats and shoes and has its own, smaller Trustpilot profile. We found nothing on either site linking the two, so check the address bar: the Terra offer we reviewed is at thegrounding.co, and support is admin@thegrounding.co.

Finally, grounding sheets are not the same as silver-infused cooling sheets. Our Miracle Sheets review covers sheets that use silver for freshness and are not connected to anything, and our Heal Naturally grounding sheet review covers a rival grounding sheet from a different company.

Safety and setup: what the brand tells you to do

The setup is three steps: put the sheet over your mattress (the brand says over your regular sheet works too), plug the cord into the grounding port of a grounded outlet only, and connect the cord to the port on the sheet. Keep some bare skin, such as arms, legs or feet, in contact with it.

The disclaimer's safety guide adds sensible rules: use only the included cables, inspect the cord and stop if it is worn or frayed, plug only into wall outlets built into your home and properly tested, not power strips or extension cords, keep it dry and indoors, tuck away spare cord so nobody trips, supervise children and pets around the cable, and unplug it when not in use.

Is the Terra grounding sheet worth buying?

If you are curious about grounding and would rather try it on a soft cotton sheet than walk barefoot every day, Terra is a credible way to do it. Where it wins: a real seller, organic cotton, seven sizes and a 90-night window. Where it is weaker: a 30-night minimum before you can claim, a staged 30/70 refund, return shipping on you, and wellness claims that go further than the research.
